The most elegant Italian villa inspired wedding, Erika and Dustin celebrated their nuptials at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a historical landmark in Miami featuring acres of manicured gardens, a mangrove shoreline, and stunning Mediterranean style architecture. “I wanted a very white, classic, villa in Italy feel.. we surrounded the space with white orchids, hydrangeas, delphiniums, and spray roses, then complimented it with white themed tables and classic gold/white chairs.” The entire soirée was a magical combination of soft floral details against striking architecture.
Erika was the epitome of effortless elegance in her Dani wedding dress, a style that was not only stunning on her but was also the perfect choice for the spectacular setting. Gown shopping: “My experience was very intimate and magical. I got engaged on September 1, 2018 and started my search shortly after. I had never really envisioned “my dress” or knew what would look good on my frame. I began my search on Instagram following designers and boutiques and noticed all the dresses I saved were from Lee Petra Grebenau. I could not get enough of the line..
I immediately made an appointment at the flagship boutique. Upon arriving, I already felt at home. It was a small homey space surrounded by the most beautiful fabrics, dresses and aesthetics. Our consultant, Isa, spoke Spanish, my family’s native tongue, and made the experience even more welcoming..
The third dress I tried on was a dress my mother found and picked, the Dani dress. I slipped it on, buttoned it up and immediately felt like a princess. When I walked out, my mom began to tear up. It was the one. We all felt it. It was the dress I never knew I needed. The details, the beads, the stitching, it was the first time I envisioned myself at the altar. It all felt so real in that moment. I will cherish that moment forever.
People came from all around the world to attend our wedding, and to see all our closest family and friends melding together and forming friendships over that weekend was truly magical. It made the day, and the weekend, even more special.
