Crystal & Wayne’s Modern Meets Classic Wedding at the Four Seasons Toronto

Crystal and Wayne exchanged vows at the Four Seasons Toronto in an elegant celebration that incorporated modern elements in black and white while maintaining an overall traditional ethos. Their bridal parties wore black, a color that beautifully complemented Crystal’s pearl-embellished wedding dress and Wayne’s blue tux, and which added an extra stylish flair to the sophisticated setting.

The couple, originally from Toronto, got engaged during a ski trip in Vail, Colorado while snowmobiling. Wayne, who plays hockey for the Philadelphia Flyers, popped the question at the top of a mountain while he and Crystal were taking pictures of the amazing view.

Crystal went back home to Toronto to search for her wedding dress and found our Ruby at Powder Bride, a dress shopping trip we’re thrilled she took because she could not have looked more beautiful.

“I remember the Ruby gown coming back out and I kept thinking about how crazy it would be to get married in an all peal dress. I love being different and not following trends, so I knew I wanted something that wasn’t going to be already all over the blogs. And I mean c’mon…an all pearl dress with lace is pretty outside of the box..

I loved the way it fell on my body and how it was the perfect amount of timeless, classy, and unique all in one. The lace down the sides I LOVED because it gave that little bit of sexy as well.. out of the entire wedding.. I no word of a lie received the most compliments on my dress. I had girlfriends’ friends replying on their Instagram, asking who the designer was. My dress was by far the most important part of the wedding for me and I definitely did not make the wrong decision.”
