Sara and Eric got hitched last October at the beautiful Boca Raton Resort and Club in sunny Florida. Their wedding, rich in color and texture, incorporated an abundance of blooms and whimsical elements that fit in beautifully with the picturesque setting.
Sara, who is quite partial to whimsical luxe details, visited our NYC Flagship salon at the advice of her sister, and fell in love with our Emma in a “suspiciously easy” bridal shopping experience. Looking at Sara’s wedding photos, we can’t help but agree the Emma was a perfect match because she truly looked like a dream on her wedding day.
How did you and Eric meet, and how did he propose?
We met on Bumble.. Eric said he wanted to go out for a walk in the park after dinner and I said we should bring the dogs, and he said forget the dogs. I spent the next 10 minutes asking him if he was going to propose. I am not one for surprises. Except the ring was a surprise – he added a small detail that he knew I’d love.
Can you tell us what you loved about planning your wedding and the process of finding your dress?
I loved trying on my dress.. I also really loved listening to the band’s music.. I found my dress in the most fortuitous way – my sister had walked by a store in Greenwich Village and told me I needed to check it out because the store was exactly my vibe.. I ended up falling in love with this beautifully embellished dress full of flowers and beads. The dress is so whimsical, yet fitted. It has this luxe boho feel to it. I love beading and embellishment and this dress has it all.. My sister was my lucky charm during the fitting – we were fooling around and tried on tiaras and that sealed the look.
What’s your favorite memory of your wedding?
My favorite part was under the chuppa. It felt so calm and loving under there. Even though we had 125 guests behind us, we were only focused on each other.
Any other detail you’d like to share?
If you’re torn between tiara and no tiara – go for the tiara!
